The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and Passaic County are committed to developing transportation improvements that best balance transportation needs, the environment, community concerns, and costs. A Public Information Center (PIC) meeting will be held to provide residents and businesses with information on the Lakeview Avenue (CR 624) Safety Improvements from Crooks Avenue to Market Street project, located in the Cities of Paterson and Clifton. This meeting is being held to discuss the project progress to date, present the proposed improvements, and gather feedback and answer questions from attendees. You are encouraged to actively participate by attending the PIC and providing input.
Project Information
Description
Passaic County is receiving Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program Funds from the Federal Highway Administration through the NJTPA for the design, construction, and construction inspection services for safety improvements along Lakeview Avenue from Crooks Avenue to Market Street.
Proposed improvements include implementation of a road diet and buffered bicycle lanes, replacement of the existing traffic signal system at Crooks Avenue, installation of a new traffic signal system at the Maryland Avenue and I-80 on-ramp intersection, construction of a modern roundabout at the Market Street intersection, enhanced bus stop locations, and construction of curb extensions at various mainline crossing locations.
